Nancy Taylor Addition – Palisade, Colorado

The client wished to replace an existing root cellar and bunkhouse with new spaces including a 650 SF accessory dwelling, studio and two car garage.

Use of local agrarian structures as design inspiration support the community’s new comprehensive plan vision to preserve and enhance the town’s existing agricultural village atmosphere.

Careful positioning of the new structure preserves existing trees, defines a new garden space, and establishes a sense of privacy between dwellings.

A new steel and wood canopy defines a covered path between the existing back porch and addition.
