The ranch is designed to create a relaxed and comfortable
character and includes a 5,800 SF house, 3,500 SF shop and 2,200
SF stable.
Buildings are positioned to enhance the spatial relationship
with existing vegetation. Views of the ranch are gradually revealed
to approaching visitors through breaks in existing tree lines.
The
house is oriented to maximize southeast daylight and views of the
surrounding desert and La Sal Mountains. Interior spaces open onto
a central courtyard that links the house to extended outdoor spaces
including a vegetable garden and greenhouse.
