Denning Residence Remodel – Grand Junction, Colorado

The client wished to improve the function and appearance of existing bathing and storage areas within the existing building envelope.

Existing architectural features including exposed structural wood frames and curving masonry fireplace guided the reconfiguration of separate bathing and closet spaces into a more open, functional master bath and combined master closet.

New wood frame elements provide design continuity with the existing house and define functional areas of the new master bath and closet with infill panels of translucent glass and Douglas fir.

A new curving bookwall adds storage space in the master bedroom and mirrors the curve of the existing fireplace.

Additional Features & Products:

  • Natural cork tile flooring.
  • Dual flush toilets.
  • Light shelf reflects light into new master bath.
  • Recyclable glass tiles.
  • Salvage of existing cabinetry, fixtures & lighting.
  • Tubular skylights increase natural light.
